DESCRIPTION

Generator is a device that produces electrical energy from mechanical energy source, usually by means of electromagnetic induction. This process is known as electricity generation. Generator drives an electric charge to move through an external electrical circuit, but the generator does not create an existing electric wires in the windings. To directly connect a generator to building, it needs ATS. Not only the safest way to connect a generator, but it’s also the easiest. Running extension cords to and from appliances can be an awkward and timeconsuming hassle especially during an outage.

A transfer switch is the switching device that transfers power from one source to the other, typically the Mains power supply & a back-up generator. The system works automatically to quickly transfer load to a reliable source in the event of a power failure. In normal operation the mains supply is healthy so the Mains power is switched through to the load, the ATS controller continuously monitors the quality of the mains supply then should the quality of the mains power supply fail completely or just deviate’s outside of healthy limits the ATS will call upon the generator to start-up & provide power.
